Our Mission With the rapidly changing face of veterinary medicine, alongside the human medical field, Talisman Equine is committed to providing accurate, up-to-date, effective treatment options and education to our students. We whole- heartedly adhere in the “WHOLE-istic” approach to health care. We feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to share ideas and insights with other animal lovers everywhere.

OUR CAMPUS The Equine Educational Exchange is a sister to TALISMAN EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES, LLC, and is situated on 30 beautiful acres in the heart of Texas. The classroom is located inside the Veterinary clinic and our students are often afforded the opportunity to view cases worked up “live” by veterinarians or other clinicians. RV hookups and stalls for student horses are available, as well. These spaces are limited so call to reserve yours!

The campus boasts pristine ponds, lush pastures and “Grand-Daddy” oak trees, as well as a teaching facility to rival all others.
OUR CURRICULUM The courses are taught in intensive, information packed sessions. The days are long, but the educational opportunities match. Depending upon the course selected, certain pre-requisites may apply. Our program is the only one known of it’s kind to be not only endorsed, but run by, a licensed Veterinarian, and has sought approval of Veterinary Boards in several states. Once the class is dismissed, relax on the tranquil bank of one of several ponds located on the farm, doze on a hammock under a gorgeous old oak tree, enjoy riding thru the pastures or practice your preferred discipline in our well manicured arena.
OUR INSTRUCTORS At The Equine Educational Exchange we have a rotating staff of instructors, all of which are either Veterinarians, Licensed or Registered Massage Therapists, Certified Equine Massage Therapists, or other specialists in their fields. Only top-knotch educators will present material, as dictated by, not only Dr. Thurman, but the Texas Veterinary Medical Board. This program adheres strictly to all rules and regulations set forth by the Texas Veterinary Medical Examining Board.
